In the interest of transparency, we present our Privacy Policy. This policy aims to clarify the purposes for which the information you or your browser provide when accessing the pages of the Ensina Biotec Journal is used. All provided data is protected in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law of August 14, 2018 – Law No. 13.709: (http://www.planalto.gov.br/ccivil_03/_ato2015-2018/2018/lei/l13709.htm).

The Editorial Committee of the Ensina Biotec Journalis also committed to ensuring the privacy of its authors and collaborators through the proper use of the data provided.

Purpose of the Provided Data

The personal data provided by authors is processed and stored with their consent, given when signing the Commitment Term.

All this information will be used exclusively for the editorial management of the publication in which the author and data holder wish to collaborate and will not be used for other purposes or shared with third parties.

When submitting a scientific news article, a subject, or an experience report, the following information will be requested from the authors to process, evaluate, and publish the work:

• Full name

• Academic background

• Email address

• Phone number

• Institutional affiliation

• Link to the Lattes Curriculum (mandatory only for Brazilians)

• ORCID

The authors' personal data is used for the purpose of contact, notification of acceptance or rejection after review, and the publication of the scientific news article or subject/experience report. The contact methods may also be used to send updates from the journal, such as submission deadlines, new editions, or thematic calls.

The publication of an article or scientific news is inherently public. The name and email address of all corresponding authors of a publication in the Ensina Biotec Journal will be made available in the issue to which the publication was submitted, to facilitate communication and scientific dissemination.

If required by law, the Ensina Biotec Journal reserves the right to disclose personal information to comply with legal processes, respond to claims, or protect its rights, property, or safety.

Authors' Rights Regarding Data Submission

Anyone who provides data to the Ensina Biotec Journalhas the right to update or rectify their personal data at any time. To do so, simply send a request to the email: revistaensinabiotec@ufop.edu.br.
